Seize September
There is something that the business world figured out a long time ago that we as people
haven’t yet to fully embrace, September is not just another month. For many major
corporations and organizations, September marks the beginning of a new fiscal and
strategic cycle. It is the month where leadership teams gather, review what has been
accomplished, and begin to set the vision and direction for the year ahead. They do not
wait until December. They do not scramble in January. They plan before the rush. They
see September for what it is.
And I believe God is extending the same invitation to us.
We are entering the final quarter of the year, and there is still time — real, meaningful
time — to pause and ask the Lord: What has this year been about, and where do You
want me to go from here? This is not the season to coast. This is the season to seek. To
fast. To pray. To sit before God and say, “I don’t want to move into another year without
Your direction.” What foundations do you still need to lay? What assignments have you
been putting off? What does God require of you before this chapter closes? September is
a gift — it gives you enough distance from January to see clearly, and enough runway
before December to still do something about it. Don’t let it pass by like any other month.
See it. Use it. Seek God in it.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” — Jeremiah 29:11
